A year after To Love A Narcissist world premiered in New York, I’m excited to share the film will be distributed throughout North America (and then worldwide) very VERY soon, with the film’s official release dates slated but under wraps! Follow us @ControVentoFilms and help us celebrate this mental milestone! We are planning online watch parties and special screenings in the US, London and Hong Kong!

To Love A Narcissist screened at the iconic Cinema Village in New York! The film was shown on the closing night of the Socially Relevant Film Festival 2025 and we were blown away by the emotional response to the film. Raff and I also had fun attending the festival’s opening night celebration at the historic National Arts Club in Gramercy Park.

This was the second time Contro Vento Films reached the competition stage of SRFF. We received the Jury Prize (Narrative Feature) for our viral bipolar love story Transference in 2020. It was an honour to be part of a diverse program of socially relevant films. Thanks to everyone who made it happen. We can’t wait for the next one!

My humour column Sharp Pains was shortlisted by the 2022 New York Festivals Radio Awards in the Best Regularly Scheduled Comedy Program category… on April Fool’s Day… and being a fool (in any month) I totally missed it!!! It didn’t win (obvs) but being a humble 10 min monthly slot, I wasn’t even sure it qualified. The best I’d hoped for was that it might be shortlisted if the judges were feeling particularly generous/ concussed/ drunk – and luckily for me they were one or all of these things! The Bake Fail episode was also an Official Select of the 2022 On Air Fest in New York. I ❤️ NY!

Catch up with missed episodes of Sharp Pains on RTHK Radio 3 here! And look out for more humour columns (and Rants) in Post Mag! It’s also playing on the Voice Your Passion poetry channel on YouTube!

New York Festivals Radio Awards 2022 Shortlist

Thanks to the On Air Fest in Brooklyn, New York, for selecting the Bake Fail episode of my screwy humor column for RTHK Radio 3, Sharp Pains, as one of their 2022 Official Selects! So happy to have been included in this good vibes festival that emphasises experimentation, a unique point of view, and explores storytelling and creativity in sound!✨

The Mental Ideas Podcast is a series of podcasts in which my shady second cousin, twice removed, Sadie Kaye explores innovative approaches to tackling mental health with an eclectic mix of local and international guests, many of whom are from the worlds of entertainment, film, the arts & charity. The podcast launches as a weekly strand of RTHK Radio 3‘s 123 Show in 2020. Gentleman juggler and showman Mat Ricardo presents a number of intriguing slots!

RTHK’s Miss Adventure 小姐 冒险

Miss Adventure is a completely made up fictional character. She was born in 2012, when New York indie Summerhill TV produced an improvised skit with rock band Motorhead at Madison Square Garden. The episode aired on Funny or Die, where it (briefly) became FoD’s ‘Highest Rated Video – All Time. For the past few years, ‘Miss Adventure‘ has shambled her way through regular comedy broadcasts on RTHK Radio 3. Any resemblance to Sadie Kaye is purely in your head, although they did meet once at a riot in Repulse Bay.
