Excited to share that To Love A Narcissist, the film I’ve been producing with Contro Vento Films, will premiere at the New York Socially Relevant Film Festival (SRFF) 16 March at 7.30pm! This is the second time we have reached the competition stage of SRFF. We were honoured to receive a Special Jury Mention for Transference in 2020. With most of the world in lockdown then, the festival was held on zoom. This year, we’ll be zooming in the old-fashioned way! ✈️

Thank you SRFF for supporting our films and our vision to create a platform for those affected by the themes our films explore to connect and access support. 🙏🏽

Like a champion racehorse that won’t stop running, Transference has surpassed another incredible milestone! It has been viewed over 26 million times on YouTube (it was featured by the Times for having ‘gone viral‘ after chalking up half this amount.) Even though the film is free on YouTube, we can’t wait to see it on the big screen again in a celebration screening at Sanctum Soho and to see where our follow up film To Love A Narcissist takes us in 2025! Happy NY!

What better day to let slip I am producing a film called To Love A Narcissist than Valentine’s! To Love A Narcissist is another obsessive love story by Raffaello Degruttola where trust is weaponised. Our last film collaboration Transference went viral on YouTube and has now been viewed over 23M times. This one stars the magnetic Lyndsey Marshal alongside Raff and a stellar supporting cast that includes Sule Rimi, Stephen Campbell-Moore and Andrea Lowe. You can follow the film @Contro Vento Films and toloveanarcissist.com.

There’s either something wrong with my eyes or Transference has topped 20M views on YouTube! I swear I was only responsible for one of these views! It’s mind-blowing a micro-budget film about a niche mental health topic like bipolar disorder can create a stir. Co-producing this indie film with one of my besties (director/actor Raffaello Degruttola) and his phenomenal cast & crew was honestly the best distraction I could ever have hoped for from the apocalypse of 2020-2022. Be bold and keep talking about mental health! Off to get my eyes tested – just in case. I may have to delete this post later.

Transference has officially ‘gone viral‘!!! It has now exceeded 17M views on YouTube. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to co-produce this indie film with Raff, Contro Vento Films and Mental Ideas! Stay tuned for more film and TV collaborations! #mentalhealthmatters #controventofilms #mentalideas

The indie film I co-produced has just soared to over 4.3 million views on YouTube! Thanks to everybody who’s watched and supported the film’s mental health mission!

CONGRATULATIONS to co-producer, actor (and Mental Ideas ambassador) Simone Lahbib for winning Best First-Time Director and the Audience Award for Best Film at the Soho London Film Festival last night for her directing debut Swipe Right, a chilling thriller exploring the perils of mobile dating apps! 🍾 🤩 🙌

Transference keeps on keeping on surpassing mental milestones: the indie feature film I helped co-produce (through Mental Ideas) is fast approaching 3.7M views on YouTube! Thanks to everyone who has watched and supported it! Had we charged a cent a view, we’d have actually broken even! But of course the film’s purpose was to raise awareness of important mental health issues, not to make money (as I continue to console Raff…🤣 🤣 🤣)

Can’t WAIT to see Raff‘s latest ingenious film Little Boxes, shot entirely on Zoom in lockdown! It’s racking up an impressive array of awards nominations, despite still being in post-production! Congrats Raff, producers Lee Boardman (my old flatmate in London billions of light years ago!), his gorgeous wife Jennifer James and the talented group of actors they train and mentor at their Manchester-based acting school/ company Actor Tribe who star in the film!

I’m hoping to catch up with Raff and Lee for a chat (on Zoom – ironically…) about the film on S2 of Mental Ideas on RTHK Radio 3! You can watch Lee playing Arron Banks in Brexit: An Uncivil War on HBO in Hong Kong now!
