Sharp Pains

I take a sideways look at life, love and parenthood in Zero Covid Times in my skewed humour column for RTHK Radio 3! The first monthly episode broadcasted Sept 29, 2020. The series inspired some of my goofiest columns in the South China Morning Post, including my ‘3 Terrifying Short Stories‘, published in the festive edition of Post Magazine Dec 12, 2021.

Sharp Pains was shortlisted for Best Regularly Scheduled Comedy Program by the 2022 New York Festivals Radio Awards. The Bake Fail episode was also chosen by the 2022 On Air Festival in Brooklyn, New York, as one of their Official Selects. In Sept it was shortlisted among the nominees for ‘Moment of Comedy Gold‘ by the 2022 International Women’s Podcast Awards. The awards take place at The Conduit in Covent Garden, London, Sept 29!

The columns have spawned short stories for anthologies, including After the Storm, launched at the 2021 Hong Kong International Literary Festival. Others are set to be published later this year, one of which will be launched at the 2023 Hong Kong International Lit Fest in March.
