Nigel, Trump and Miss
Nigel, Trump and a chlorinated chicken (Miss Adventure)

So, Fake News may have had its ‘Brexit Day’ broadcast date rescheduled thrice, thanks to chaos in Westminster, but you can still feast your ears on the Fake News theme! Composed by the incredible Nick Samuel, an artist and a gentleman. It’s been a 3 year labour of love/ hate (mainly hate). But the wait could be nearly over.

FAKE NEWS THEME

I am set to go globetrotting in a 6-part travelogue series for GMI!* The Trots pitches me as the quintessential perspiring aspiring adventurer visiting some of the world’s least desirable holiday destinations in a comedy horror series constructed around improvisation.

* GMI is currently being amalgamated into a division of Clever Films. Content is in the process of being transferred and links will change – sorry!

Things to do with a mooncake:

1. Smash a window
2. Cave in an intruder’s skull
3. Eat it

If you’re not sure you can manage a whole one:

1. Smother it in English mustard
2. Pair it with a pickled egg
3. Pretend it’s a pork pie that’s passed its sell-by
4. Wash it down with a bottle of Absinthe

Warning!

Excited to be writing my first radio play mini-series, Meet The New Parents. New parents Mr. & Mrs. Sharpe-Payne (played by my dastardly alter-ego Sadie Kaye and Philippe Joly) are struggling to cope with the pressures of parenthood, going to increasingly absurd and criminal lengths to keep their baby twins, who have only just got off, from waking…

In 2017 I began producing & ‘co-presenting’ (as myself and Sadie Kaye) a one-hour comedy podcast, Fake News. The mockumentary sees me embark on an unlikely adventure in the USA with US President Donald Trump and the t*t he’s referred to as “Mr. Brexit”, Nigel Farage. The podcast will air on ‘Brexit Day’. (March 29, 2018, May 31, 2018April 1, 2019Oct 31, 2019? ???) Stay tuned for teasers some time before the next millennium!!!

RTHK’s Miss Adventure 小姐 冒险

Miss Adventure is a completely made up fictional character. She was born in 2012, when New York indie Summerhill TV produced an improvised skit with rock band Motorhead at Madison Square Garden. The episode aired on Funny or Die, where it (briefly) became FoD’s ‘Highest Rated Video – All Time. For the past few years, ‘Miss Adventure‘ has shambled her way through regular comedy broadcasts on RTHK Radio 3. Any resemblance to Sadie Kaye is purely in your head, although they did meet once at a riot in Repulse Bay.
